Wireless System Concept

Benefits | System Concept | Contacts

Description
The technology is for Mobile System Operators and places a secure and continuously updated database of mobiles (e.g.,ESN/MIN/SID/mobile terminal radio fingerprints) and of legitimate subscribers (e.g.voice templates, user profiles, dialing characteristics) at each mobile operator's switch.

Users going off hook are verified against the database of authorized users & mobiles

Local system databases can be kept updated via a feed from a central database via wireline, radio, or world-wide vsat satellite system.

Each operator's database can encrypted and authenticated.

Benefits
Estimated 80% + reduction in fraud and theft
Significantly reduces cloning fraud
Stops service to stolen or unauthorized phones
Allows for precall verification of users
Allows for passive verification of user via voice biometrics on user's transmit channel
Allows for different degrees of verification depending upon user's application
Can be used with user profiles and/or fingerprinting clone detection schemes
Verifies valid ESN/MINs in good standing
User verification time varies with architecture & depends upon operator's criteria
Home network can determine denial of service criteria
Fast nationwide and worldwide update of new mobiles and users
Can be independent of SS7 network and the internet
Can be easily extended to worldwide mobile operators regardless of Mobile - Can be extended to PCS services
Can be used to distribute "A" keys for IS54B/IS136/IS130 dual mode, digital, or analog phones with authentication only
Easily extendable to non mobile phone system and internet applications
Can update prestored lists of mobiles/users authorized for emergency priority service i

System Concept - Description See Example in Diagram at Top
The system will utilize a national database distributed to and kept current at each operator's cellular switch (MSC).
The database enables system operators to verify valid serial and phone number (ESN/MIN) pairs, identify legitimate users via active and/or passive voice biometric ( voice prints) or other verification techniques, and immediately be notified of and deny service to a terminal that is reported stolen or in a denied service status
